Tara Maguire immortalises the emotional experience on canvas. Like the art giants whose shoulders she stands on— Picasso, Matisse, duBuffett— she deliberately makes her works look simple.

After technical mastery comes the courage to break the cage that rules can become. Creation is transformation for Tara. Where life circumstances, emotions, inspiration are metamorphosed to create life-giving art that elevates viewers. 

Tara is an Olympian, student pilot, amateur golfer, field hockey coach and winner of sports competitions. She is also a dog lover, car lover and guitarist. Her polymathic curious self geeks out on deep learning, from music to movies to organic chemistry; she is also a breast cancer survivor. Above all, she describes herself as stubbornly determined in all things. 

Tara’s work currently hangs at Woodmere museum; and has been gracing collectors’ homes since 2017. 

MaguireContemporary makes Tara’s art available to the public for the first time. More importantly, it is part of Tara’s wider STRONG WOMAN mission to empower women and girls to realise they can do more than they think they can, and have each others’ backs. MaguireContemporary is above all, Tara’s love letter to artists, where they exhibit at a nominal rate, and learn the ropes to become commercial. A confluence point of patrons and philanthropists, creatives, tastemakers and curators.
